The Journey Behind the Images

Photography has always been closely tied to my love of exploring. Whether I’m hiking a remote trail, wandering through a new city, or spending time in nature, a camera gives me a reason to slow down, look more closely, and appreciate the world around me.

My journey began when I was 12 years old, when my father, a hobby photographer, gave me my first camera, a 35mm Pentax. What started as a shared interest became a lifelong passion. Years later, a trip to Ireland with my first professional camera transformed photography from a hobby into something more meaningful. Surrounded by remarkable landscapes and unfamiliar places, I discovered that photography wasn’t just about capturing what I saw, it was a way to experience a destination more deeply and preserve the feeling of being there.

Today, my work focuses on travel, nature, and cityscapes. I’m drawn to images that tell the story of a place, whether it’s a sweeping mountain vista, a quiet street, or an unexpected wildlife encounter. My goal is simple: to create photographs that inspire curiosity and invite others to see the beauty and character of the world around them.

Many of my favorite adventures are shared with my wife, Leslie, and our dog, Penny, as we explore trails, parks, cities, and destinations near and far. This collection of photographs is a reflection of those experiences and the places that continue to inspire me.
